What Aderis is, and what it is not
Aderis is the finance system of record for a growing company. It holds the ledgers, runs accounting and keeps finance continuously updated, so that the financial picture is current while the business operates rather than reconstructed after month-end. Accounting is executed autonomously at its core, but the platform goes beyond accounting: it orchestrates the full finance cycle, from capture and approvals through payment runs, dunning and bank reconciliation to consolidation and reporting, across entities, ledgers and currencies.
Aderis is not accounting software, an AI accounting tool or an AI layer on top of Abacus, NetSuite, Bexio or another ERP. Finance moves onto the Live Finance Platform. It is also not a broad operational suite for CRM, inventory or manufacturing; those systems stay in place and connect to the platform, which is open by design.
How the platform is built
The platform has three layers. The Platform Engine is the intelligence and infrastructure beneath everything: AI agents, automation, multi-entity, multi-ledger and multi-currency handling, integrations and APIs, controls and compliance, and hosting and data residency in Switzerland and the EU. Core Finance runs finance day to day: Order to Cash, Purchase to Pay, Record to Report and Treasury, as one live system with a dedicated agent doing the work alongside the finance team. Advanced extends the platform with consolidation, workforce, FP&A and BI reporting, all synchronised with the ledger. The page How Aderis works describes each layer.
What the agents do
Aderis was built AI-native. Financial data, posting logic, AI agents, permissions and controls operate on the same core. The agents capture documents on arrival, code transactions, match bank movements to open items, prepare payment runs, follow up what is due and keep the ledgers current. Ada, the conversational finance agent of the platform, answers questions about the current financial position in plain language and can carry the resulting process step forward within defined permissions. Agents act within rules, thresholds and approvals set by the finance team; a case that is unclear or above an approval limit stops and is escalated with its context to the responsible person. Every action remains traceable to the source, the rule applied and the approval given.
Built in and for Switzerland and Europe
Local finance infrastructure is part of the platform, not an integration project. Swiss banks connect directly through bLink, the open banking platform of SIX: payment instructions go from the platform to the bank, account and transaction data flow back and are reconciled continuously against open receivables and payables. Aderis is also an approved bLink Service User in the ESPRIT Network. ISO 20022, the QR-bill and CAMT bank statements are supported natively, as is e-invoicing. Customer data is hosted in Switzerland and the EU, encrypted in transit and at rest, with security monitoring and backups. The platform is designed to meet GeBüV and GoBD requirements, with audit trails, approvals and segregation of duties on by default; ISO 27001 certification is in progress. Aderis AG is headquartered in Kilchberg, with Aderis Deutschland GmbH in Munich and Aderis Austria GmbH in Vienna. The European expansion began in Austria in October 2026.
Who Aderis serves
Aderis serves growing mid-market companies with multi-entity, multi-currency or multi-country structures, typically with 50 to 500 employees and a finance team of three to fifteen people, run in Switzerland, Austria or Germany. Its customers include businesses in manufacturing, e-commerce, MedTech and hospitality. The primary buyers are the CFO, who is accountable for control, traceability and current numbers, and the CEO, who buys tempo and a finance function that does not slow expansion. Large-corporate ERP programmes are outside its scope. The page Who Aderis is for sets out the fit in detail.
Moving to Aderis
Most systems turn migration into a project. Aderis treats it as a service: the Aderis team moves the company off its legacy accounting or ERP system, connects banks and source systems, maps the chart of accounts and migrates master data, opening balances and history, with every figure traceable back to source. From kickoff to live finance is measured in days rather than the quarters a legacy ERP migration takes, and the data transfers are included. Pricing is tailored to scope: the number of entities, ledgers and capabilities in use.
Frequently asked questions
Does Aderis replace our current accounting system?
Yes. Aderis becomes the finance system of record. It holds the ledgers, runs accounting and keeps finance continuously updated. It is not an AI layer on top of an existing ERP.
Is Aderis an ERP?
Aderis replaces the finance part of an ERP and runs the full finance cycle. It is not a broad operational suite for CRM, inventory or manufacturing; those systems remain in use and connect to the platform through its APIs.
Where is our financial data hosted?
In Switzerland and the EU, encrypted in transit and at rest, with security monitoring and backups. Access is permission-based with full audit trails.
Can we connect Aderis to AI assistants such as Claude or ChatGPT?
Yes. The Aderis connector uses the Model Context Protocol (MCP). An assistant works as the signed-in user, sees and changes only what that user's role allows, and by default asks for confirmation before any change. The connector cannot send payments to the bank or access payroll data. The developer page on aderis.com describes the setup.
How does pricing work?
Pricing is tailored to scope: number of entities, ledgers and capabilities. Aderis's solution architects map the setup and give a proposal.
