The Platform Engine: what powers the platform
Beneath every order, ledger and report sits the Engine. It is the part of the platform that runs on its own, holds real-world complexity and keeps everything compliant, hosted and connected. AI agents are embedded, agentic finance agents that execute autonomously, handle exceptions and coordinate work across the process; automation moves workflows, document processing, reconciliation, approvals and payment preparation through the platform without manual hand-offs. Multi-entity manages multiple companies, business units, jurisdictions and reporting structures together and keeps them separate where it counts. Multi-ledger runs statutory, tax, management and group ledgers in parallel from a single source of postings. Multi-currency handles transactions in any currency with live FX rates and reporting that resolves back to the reporting currency.
The Engine also carries the platform's openness and its controls. Integrations and APIs connect banks, systems and data platforms. Controls and compliance provide audit trails, permissions, approvals and segregation of duties; the platform is designed to meet GeBüV and GoBD requirements, and ISO 27001 certification is in progress. Hosting and data residency keep data in Switzerland and the EU, encrypted in transit and at rest, with continuous security monitoring and backups. The Engine is not middleware or an aggregation tool; it is the operational core from which all execution flows.
Core Finance: where finance runs
Core Finance brings together the daily operations a finance team relies on. Every process runs on the same AI-native foundation and shares one live financial reality, so data is captured once and every team works from the same source of truth. Order to Cash runs from sales order to cash collected as one revenue flow: sales orders, invoices, recurring revenue, revenue recognition, reminders and collections. Purchase to Pay runs from purchase order to vendor payment: purchase orders, vendor invoices, receipts, approvals and accounts payable. Record to Report is the accounting core, kept audit-ready with Continuous Close: general ledger, bank reconciliation, journal booking, accruals, close management, VAT reporting and reporting. Treasury gives live cash visibility and payment runs on top of direct bank connectivity.
The agent
A dedicated finance agent works inside Core the whole time: executing tasks, analysing data and supporting operations across all four processes. It matches payments, chases what is due, prepares runs and surfaces what needs a decision, then hands the judgement calls back to the finance team. Ada is the conversational interface to the platform: a CFO can ask "which overdue receivables need attention today?" or "consolidate today's figures for all entities in CHF", and Ada answers from the consolidated financial context and can carry the resulting process step forward within defined permissions and approvals. Agents act within rules, thresholds and escalation paths set by the finance team, and every action remains traceable to source.
Advanced: what extends finance
Advanced adds capabilities beyond accounting while keeping everything connected to the ledger, with no disconnected systems or duplicate data. Consolidation brings entities together on the same posting base. Workforce captures expenses and timesheets close to the work and feeds hours and cost straight into the ledger; it runs under the rules of each country, from salary processing to tax, social contributions and statutory reporting, and where a company already uses its own payroll provider, Aderis connects it into the same live financial reality. FP&A provides budgeting, forecasting and financial planning on the same live numbers the ledger already holds. BI reporting provides dashboards, KPIs and business intelligence drawn from one source.
Banking and integrations
Swiss banks connect directly through bLink, the open banking platform of SIX, using its Account Information Service, Payment Submission Service and consent flow: payment runs approved on the platform go straight to the bank, the bank's response shows whether each run was submitted, accepted or rejected, and account and transaction data flow back and are reconciled continuously against open items. Aderis is also an approved bLink Service User in the ESPRIT Network. ISO 20022, the QR-bill and CAMT bank statements are supported natively, as is e-invoicing. Stripe is integrated through the Stripe App Marketplace, so payments, refunds, fees and payouts are imported for continuous reconciliation. ERP, payroll, billing and BI tools connect through the platform's APIs; where a system is not supported out of the box, the Aderis team builds the integration during onboarding. The API documentation is at docs.aderis.com, and the Aderis connector lets AI assistants such as Claude and ChatGPT work with a customer's data through the Model Context Protocol.
How a transaction moves through the platform
A supplier invoice arrives in the inbox. The agent captures it, codes it, matches it to the purchase order and receipt and checks it against the rules the finance team has set. Below the approval threshold it is posted; above it, or where anything is unclear, it stops and is escalated with its context to the responsible person. Posted once, it is carried simultaneously into the statutory, tax, management and group ledgers. When due, it is grouped into a payment run, approved and sent to the bank through bLink; the bank's response comes back, the outgoing transaction is reconciled against the open item, and the cash position updates. At every step the invoice, the entry, the rule, the approval and the bank transaction remain linked.
Frequently asked questions
Is the Platform Engine a middleware layer?
No. It is the operational core on which the platform runs: data model, posting logic, agents, controls, hosting and integrations work together as one system rather than as separate parts.
Can a company start with Core Finance and add Advanced later?
Advanced extends the platform on a modular basis, synchronised with the ledger. Scope is agreed per company: number of entities, ledgers and capabilities.
Which existing systems can stay?
Operational systems such as CRM, billing, payroll or BI can remain connected through the APIs. Aderis replaces the finance system of record, not every specialist system around it.
Where is the data hosted?
In Switzerland and the EU, encrypted in transit and at rest, with continuous security monitoring and backups.
